TV Journalist and Producer
I worked in The List’s Tulsa Bureau producing a daily “Around Town” segment. This brought a local angle to the nationally syndicated show. We also produced weekly feature segments that appeared nationally.
2008-2013
Multimedia Journalist
I put together video stories for air on both TV and web for KJRH, Tulsa’s NBC affiliate. I also worked as a photographer, video editor, and live truck operator.
2003-2008
Journalist / Mass Communications Specialist
US Navy
I served as an international reporter for American Forces Network’s Pacific Report. I also lead USS Kitty Hawk’s Video Production Team and worked as the editor for Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka’s base paper, The Seakhawk/Umitaka. While aboard USS Kitty Hawk, I served as Deputy Public Affairs Officer. I was the first journalist on the ground after the 2004 Southeast Asian Earthquake and Tsunami. I continued reporting on the tragedy for more than three months.
